Oats with baked pear and orange and cinnamon syrup

Who Said Oats Had To Be Boring?

Try these oats, with baked spiced pears and an orange and cinnamon syrup for a delicious, warming and healthy breakfast.

1/2 cup of oats
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred plant-based milk)
1 scoop VIVO Nue Plant Protein (Au Naturel or Vanilla Creme work well in this recipe)
1 orange, juiced + extra slices to serve
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup or honey
Ground cinnamon
1/4 pear sliced

1. Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees. Place pear in a baking dish and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon. Bake until the pear is golden and soft.

2. Place oats and almond milk in a saucepan and cook, stirring well. Once cooked, pour into a serving bowl, add VIVO Nue Plant Protein and stir well (more almond milk may be required).

3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan add the juice of 1 orange, maple syrup or honey and a pinch of cinnamon. Bring to a simmer, while stirring.

4. Add baked pear to bowl, slices of orange and drizzle over orange and cinnamon syrup. Serve warm.

*Pear can be baked and syrup can be made in advance to save time in the morning.
